Boating

The boat rental fee is $8.00 for one hour. To operate a boat without an adult, children must first pass a special “boating test.” Children under the age of 10 must receive written authorization by a parent or guardian before operating a boat without an adult.

Every person aboard a boat must wear a life jacket at all times.

The privilege of boating on the Lake will be withdrawn if the boat is operated in such a way as to endanger the life, safety or comfort of the operator, passengers or others.

Boats may be moored/beached only at designated areas.

Private boats are restricted from the beach and swimming areas, except for loading and unloading in the far corner adjacent to the volleyball court.

Members who wish to use small non-powered boats on Windmill Lake may do so at their own risk, provided their boat is first registered. Applications may be obtained from the Manager’s office at a fee of $35.  The Waterfront Committee requires that each boat bear identification numbers, which will be furnished upon registration.
